Swing Bed Program
The swing bed program allows patients to remain in the hospital after discharge to enhance their recovery and rebuild strength. 24 hour care is provided by skilled and caring nurses and therapists. The hospital provides a better nurse to patient ratio than a typical nursing home or larger medical center.
Swing Bed patients generally consist of the following: Post Hip and Knee Surgery Recovery and Rehabilitation, Post Cerebral Vascular Incident Recovery and Rehabilitation, IV Antibiotic Therapy, Extended Wound Care Therapy, Post Feeding Tube Insertion Care, Post Acute Pre Nursing Home Placement (if requirements for admission are met), and General Rehabilitation after Sickness (if requirements for admission are met).
